DPC 2021: Season 2 – China
Dota Pro Circuit Season 2 is in full swing, and the time has come to cover the Chinese Upper Division and see which teams have the highest odds of making it to the next Dota 2 Major.
Week 1 and 2 have already concluded, but as luck would have it, the upcoming Week 3 is packed with incredible matchups so you should definitely not miss this one.
Invictus Gaming, PSG.LGD, Vici Gaming, and Team Aster are all fighting each other in a mix of six Bo3 matches. This will be a true spectacle.
We’ll quickly go over the basic tournament information, cover the participating teams, and then jump right into the predictions for Week 3 of DPC Season 2: China.
Tournament Information
The top 8 Chinese teams are competing to qualify for the upcoming Major. Only the top 4 teams will make it there:
- 1st place – Major Playoffs
- 2nd place – Major Group Stage
- 3rd-4th place – Major Wild Card
The $205.000 prize pool is distributed evenly among all eight teams, with $1.000 difference between each one of them. The 1st spot gets $30.000.

Let’s see the teams
We have Invictus Gaming, who are the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 champions, and the nr.1 team coming from DPC Season 1. This Chinese powerhouse is in great shape, and while they do have a very tough competition, they’ve proven to be able to handle it in the past.
PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming, both legends of Chinese Dota 2. They performed well in Season 1, but now are looking to push their limits and hopefully do an even better job in Season 2.
Elephant and EHOME are trailing close behind. They finished Season 1 on 5th and 6th spots respectively. EHOME is not in the greatest shape, but as one of the oldest teams in the scene, they still command respect.
Sparking Arrow Gaming and Royal Never Give up are coming from the Season 1 Lower Division. Sparking Arrow Gaming already lost 3 matches so there’s not much else they can hope for in Season 2. Royal Never Give up, on the other hand, performed extremely well so far. They took two wins, and lost 2-1 against EHOME. Overall, a really solid performance.
Our picks for Week 3
DPC Season 2: China Week 3 will be a real treat. This is the week that will decide everything, and whoever manages to win their matches here will have an easy ride after.
Invictus Gaming vs. Team Aster
This will be an intense match. Both of these teams finished with identical results in Season 1 – six wins and one loss. Both are perfectly capable of taking a win here, but who do we pick?
Invictus Gaming is coming from ONE Esports Singapore Major, and they’re looking in great shape. They are aiming for the top, and Aster is in their way.
Aster is still very dangerous. Back in Season 1, these two teams faced off and Aster won with a 2-0 result.
Our vote in this match goes to Invictus Gaming. We expect them to fight tooth and nail and win in this matchup.
Vici Gaming vs. PSG.LGD
We expect PSG.LGD to take this one. Back in Season 1, PSG.LGD won against Vici Gaming with 2-1, and during the Singapore Major they finished with a 1-1 draw.
It’s still a very close match, and Vici Gaming can take it that’s for sure. However, we believe PSG.LGD will emerge victorious in this one.
Invictus Gaming vs. Vici Gaming
This is a very close matchup. Even though Invictus Gaming won against Vici Gaming in Season 1, and also during the Playoffs in Singapore Major, there’s still no guarantee they’ll win here.
If you wanna roll the dice and test your luck, this is the match. In this case, we’re going with Invictus Gaming.
Team Aster vs. PSG.LGD
PSG.LGD might be looking statistically better, but we believe Aster will cause an upset and take a win here.
They’ve done it in Season 1 when they beat PSG.LGD with a 2-1 result, and we believe they’ll do it again.
Team Aster vs. Vici Gaming
Once again we have a very close matchup, with pretty even gg.bet odds. The advantage in this case slightly tilts in Vici’s favor, seeing how they dismantled Aster with a 2-0 result in Season 1. Even during the Group Stage in Singapore Major, Vici emerged victorious.
For this reason, we expect Vici Gaming to win this one.
PSG.LGD vs Invictus Gaming
We leave the best for last. This will be a showdown, and both of these Chinese giants will be looking to take the win. Invictus Gaming won 2-1 both in Season 1 and the recent Singapore Major, but it’s always a very tough match for them.
This is a perfect match for DPC betting, and here we’ll go with PSG.LGD. We believe they’ll surprise us with a victory here, and mess with Invictus Gaming’s plans.
